Adventure Wonderland was originally opened in 1992 as Alice in Wonderland Park. The park was the brainchild of local farmer, Michael Lucas-Rowe, who wanted to create a family-friendly attraction that would appeal to children of all ages.
The park's headline attraction was Britain's third-largest hedge maze, which was planted in 1990. The maze was inspired by the Alice in Wonderland novel by Lewis Carroll, and it quickly became a popular attraction for visitors of all ages.
In the years since it opened, Adventure Wonderland has expanded significantly. The park now has more than 30 rides and attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, and a crazy golf course. The park also has a large indoor play area, which is perfect for rainy days.
Adventure Wonderland is now a popular family destination, attracting more than 200,000 visitors each year.
These pictures were taken in the park in 1998 and 1999.
