A MAN who was seriously injured after a car that was being recovered broke loose has been discharged from hospital.

The man in his 20s was airlifted to hospital on March 22 after he was hit by a ‘runaway’ Range Rover in Exeter Crescent, behind BH2.

In an update, a Dorset Police spokesman said: “The local man in his 20s who was taken to hospital for treatment to life-threatening injuries is no longer in a life-threatening condition and he has been discharged.”

Meanwhile police officers are still investigating the incident but have not made any arrests yet.

It’s believed the broken-down car was being recovered onto the back of a recovery lorry when it ‘started to roll back’ down the sloped road, according to witnesses.

The Range Rover then collided with two people before coming to a stop at the bottom of the slope before the gardens.

Road traffic officers were seen investigating the Range Rover which had been left with its bonnet up at the bottom of the road. Chocks were also stopping the car from rolling down the slope.

Many people stuck in the car park opposite watched on as a crowd of paramedics attended to one person on a stretcher.
