CORFE Mullen star Joe Trent helped Great Britain’s under-20 handball squad lift their first trophy.
Trent travelled to Kosovo and helped GB to four wins from four, defeating the hosts, Bulgaria, Malta and Andorra.
Trent, 20, started his handball journey at Lockyers Middle School, taking part in sessions run by Poole Phoenix Handball Club.
From there, he progressed into the Regional Academy and then onto England’s youth team.
Trent also plays for Ikast under-19s, in Denmark, having taken his A levels at Corfe Hills.
The victory in Kosovo sees GB qualify for the Intercontinental Trophy in March of next year.
